The Food
LOCALLY SOURCED - FRESHLY MADE
We're lucky to be situated in such a diverse part of the country, with award-winning food and drink suppliers right on our doorstep. We're proud to use products from some farms that are less than 2 miles from the cafe, such as our free range eggs and our apple juices and ciders, with many others within a 10 mile radius. The bread we use is baked in East Sussex and delivered fresh each morning. We believe in fresh, healthy, homemade ingredients and we don't cut corners. From our truly tiny kitchen our dishes are freshly prepared to order, assembled with care and attention, and the menu evolves with the seasons whilst keeping some of the firm favourites in place.
The Drinks
CAREFULLY SELECTED PICK-ME-UPS AND THIRST-QUENCHERS
First and foremost, the coffee. Our coffee comes from Bean Smitten - a roastery just outside Kilndown. It's ethically sourced, has full traceability and is hand-roasted just down the road from us. It also happens to taste rather delicious. We use their Classic Blend which is a real crowd-pleaser.
Our teas are from TeaPigs. We have a wide selection available and believe in using a company with strong ethics and green credentials.
We use juices from Folkington's in East Sussex, Apple juice and cider from the chaps at Charrington's just up the road, and sparkling drinks from Belvoir Fruit Farms.
Our wine list, whilst concise, is carefully balanced and honestly priced with wines from a fantastic wine shop in Tunbridge Wells. For our beers, we use only small breweries from Kent and East Sussex. We have two draught beer lines, and choose a different beer each time we change the keg. Our wide selection of gins incorporates some wonderful local distilleries, and we have a selection of spirits from firm favourites to the more unusual.
The Little Bull Team
MEET CHARLOTTE & MARCUS
Hi, we're Charlotte and Marcus - the owners of The Little Bull. We're Brenchley born and bred, and we met at the village Primary School at the tender age of six. We spent 12 years living in the French Alps, embracing our love for good food and the outdoors. Deciding it was time for a change, we moved back to the UK and never could have imagined we'd end up right back where we started!
We're passionate about food and drink, and have honed our skills in the hospitality industry for our entire adult lives. We believe good food should be sourced as locally as possible, freshly prepared and served with a smile. The Little Bull provides a perfect stage for us to showcase these passions, and the intimate layout of the cafe allows us a fantastic level of interaction with our customers. We look forward to welcoming you to our little rural haven!
